A Man And His Meat

"A smoker? Whatever..." Now it is in my backyard and we are one brisket, one chicken and a whole lot of sausage later, catching on to the fine art of smoking meat.
The funniest part about a man smoking his meat is that standing around looking at the smoker release or not release smoke is a big part of the processes. There really isn't a whole lot of looking at the meat, but a lot of checking out the smoke. It is actually quite funny to watch him watching the smoker for very very long periods of time.
I never got a picture of the delicious brisket but check out our yummy chicken.
A proud man and his meat.
(The flannel was to protect the church clothes. It is amazing how smelly like smoke you get within seconds of even being near it.)

BatStravaganza 5k

On April 18th I participated in the Round Rock BatStravaganza 5k. For those that don't know I am getting ready to do a half marathon at the end of June. Yes there are pictures from this run, but I am not posting them because I don't photograph well when running, all sweaty, beat red in the face and sucking air like no other. I did do better than my goal though, so that is good, but I have a lot more work to do before I will be ready for June.

Honoring Heroes

We went to an Honoring Our Heroes celebration at Camp Mabry here in Austin. They had some cool things to look at and do. Real helicopters, tanks, big trucks and things to go in and climb on.

Playing with Friends

We watched some friends a few weeks ago when there mom was having a baby. They are such great girls and we had a lot of fun playing at the park.

Happy Easter!

Hunting...

FOR EASTER EGGS! Lining up for the hunt. Pre hunt, putting on our game faces. GAME ON! Our loot! We woke up way to early and then we stood in line for 30 minutes and were done in less than 5. Good Times though, and we went out to Whataburger pancakes after so that made everything better.

SeaWorld

We went to SeaWorld on Good Friday. I have never been there when it is so busy, but we still managed to have fun and see everything we wanted to see.
Trying to take a cute picture. Waiting for the Sesame Street show to start
Kyle and Mom
Jeff giving me attitude for making him go us this playscape, the kids giving me attitude for taking so many pictures.
Watching "Believe" the Shamu show
I just think he is too cute!

Playgroup Farm Adventure

We went to a little farm here, outside Austin for Tyler's playgroup. We had a lot of fun.
We watched a cow milking demo.
We went on a tractor ride to see ostriches.

Seriously?

Could he be any cuter?!

Just how I feel sometimes.

Well, most of the time.
